A nude revolution is in the air
Dior is always on the cutting edge in both skincare and cosmetics and this year they’ve added 4 new products to their already popular Diorskin line. These new products, Diorskin Nude Air Sérum Foundation, Diorskin Nude Air Loose Powder, Diorskin Nude Air Pressed Powder and Diorskin Nude Air Tan Powder, when combined together (or on their own), help you achieve a natural healthy glow that enhances your natural features for a flawless look.
Diorskin Nude Air Sérum Foundation is a light as air, weightless, medium coverage, talc-free foundation that’s formulated with volatile oils that evaporate instantly. It also contains oxygen active technology that combines plant oils, vitamins and mineral with hyper-oxygenated cranberry oil to help freshen the skin, along with antioxidants to long tern skin benefits. Not only does it provide great coverage, it comes with SPF25 to help protect skin against daily environmental aggressors and the sun. Its soft focus agents, along with glazed pigments, help to not only conceal blemishes, but creates an even, healthy, radiant complexion.
Diorskin Nude Air Sérum Foundation comes in a glass bottle with dropper that not only provides the perfect amount of product, but allows for easy and effortless application. It has a super lightweight, airless, almost runny texture with a silky, velvety consistency to it. It applies like a dream, blends into the skin beautifully and absorbs into the skin within seconds. It sets fairly quickly to a semi-matte finish that isn’t flat, but isn’t too dewy. It stays put the entire day without oxidizing or fading. You can expect to get a solid 12 hours without any separation around the nose or mouth. It covers redness and blemishes, minimizes the appearance of pores and provides a flawless look. It has a fairly strong herbal scent when first applied, but slowly starts to disappear after a few short minutes.
There are several ways you can apply Diorskin Nude Air Sérum Foundation, the first is with your fingertips to achieve a very natural look, a flat brush to create a seamless finish and then with a dual-fiber brush you experience an almost air-brush effect. You must shake the bottle thoroughly before each application to ensure all the amazing ingredients are mixed together properly. You’ll also want to make sure your skin is moisturized as it can emphasize dry patches on the face.
I’ve been using Diorskin Nude Air Sérum de Teint 020 Light Beige, which has a pink undertone to it that gives a nice brightened effect to my skin. Love that is can be applied straight from the dropper and then blended out with your fingers. I usually use a buffing brush when applying my foundation, but because this has a slightly watery/ runny texture, it seemed to soak up too much product with a brush. I used about 4 drops to start and then went in with another few drops on my problem areas to get a little more coverage. Although this foundation is extremely buildable and layers beautifully, you’ll only be able to get a medium coverage. Since I have drier skin and prefer a more full-coverage foundation, this isn’t my favourite Dior foundation. I think this would be perfect for those with normal to oily skin, as it does tend to cling to dry patches on the skin. I’m going to try this again in the summer, when my skin is more hydrated and when I’m looking for lighter coverage. It comes in 8 new shades and retails for $53.
Diorskin Nude Air Pressed Powder is the ultimate finish touch once you applied your Diorskin Nude Air Sérum Foundation. It’s enriched with translucent mineral powder and full of natural elements, that’s invisible to the naked eye, but helps to mattify the complexion, while acting as a shield against pollution. It also contains sweet orange extract, vitamins and minerals to help tone and smooth the complexion. Its lightweight formula allows the skin to breathe freely, while creating the illusion of a fresh and radiant glow.
Diorskin Nude Air Pressed Powder comes in a sleek, round, silver compact, and is accompanied by a mini Kabuki brush for perfect application. It has an extremely soft and finely-milled texture that almost feels like second skin once applied. Its velvety texture blends into the skin almost immediately and helps to set and mattify your foundation. It also provides another layer to hide any redness or blemishes the foundation missed. It wears for 8 to 10 hours before slowing starting to fade. It also doesn’t emphasize pores, oxidize or separate, just keeps the shine and oil at bay.
For an extremely natural looking finish, lightly sweep Diorskin Nude Air Pressed Powder over the entire face with the mini Kabuki brush that’s provided. For a more sophisticated look and to prolong the wear time of your foundation, apply a slightly thicker layer, concentration on the T-zone or areas that need more coverage. It helps to provide the perfect shade without compromising or altering your natural skin tone or foundation that you may have already applied. It helps to create a perfectly natural looking makeup look with a velvety finish that’s luminous and simply sublime.
Diorskin Nude Air Pressed Powder in 040 applied so beautifully to the skin, almost like I’m wearing no powder at all. Sadly to say it is a little dark for my complexion, but I think it’s going to be perfect once the summer months hit. It looks equally as beautiful paired over the Diorskin Nude Air Sérum Foundation as it does on its own. It’s not powdery or chalky, just soft, smooth and natural. It helps to set my foundation, prolong the wear time of it and helps control oil. It really does mattify the skin and absorb excess oil without looking powdery, flat or dry. My skin was left glowing, although a tad too dark, and actually felt weightless. It comes in 3 new shades and retails for $59.
Diorskin Nude Air Tan Powder is a bronzing powder that helps add warmth to the skin for a radiant, sun-kissed healthy glow. It’s enriched with transparent pigments in both warm gold and pink tones to give a sun-kissed glow without altering your natural skin tone. Its airy powders, that’s invisible to the naked eye, instantly heightens your complexion and boosts your tan. It too contains sweet orange extract, vitamins and minerals to help tone and smooth the complexion.
Diorskin Nude Air Tan Powder also comes in the same sleek, round, silver compact with mini Kabuki brush for perfect application as the Diorskin Nude Air Pressed Powder. It has the same soft and finely-milled texture that’s’ velvety in texture and blends into the skin effortlessly. Its weightless formula allows the skin to breathe and actually helps it breathe. It’s extremely buildable, taking you from a sheer wash of colour to a more intense bronze look.
Diorskin Nude Air Tan Powder in 001 is the perfect shade for my pale skin to add a natural looking tan in seconds. I simply swipe on a small amount with the Kabuki brush in the shape of a 3, moving from the temples to the cheekbones and along the jawline. Unlike some bronzers that can leave you looking orange or like you’ve had a bad fake spray tan, with this bronzer you can’t go wrong. Even with a heavy hand, like myself, it’s almost impossible to go overboard. A huge plus for me. I really couldn’t believe how soft and smooth it was and with being completely weightless. It adds a soft warmth and radiant finish, but keeps me looking extremely natural. It comes in 3 new shades and retails for $59.
