Essie Resort 2015 Collection Review

Cool and Calm

It’s that time of year again, Essie has released their much anticipated Resort Collection, in addition to their Spring 2015 Collection. The Essie Resort 2015 Collection is always a favourite of mine and it helps me jump start into warmer weather. Although these four shades might not be totally unique, the silky formula, amazing coverage and beautiful hues that all are extremely wearable, is worth taking a peek at. The two lighter shades, Time for Me and Cocoa Karma are on the sheerer side of things and will require three to four coats to provide true colour payoff, whereas Stone N’ Roses and Suite Retreat are fully opaque in as little as a single coat. This calm and relaxing collection will help to keep you cool when the sun is blazing.

You’ll only be able to see the pearlescent shimmer at the right angle and direct sunlight though.

Essie Cocoa Karma is a beautiful creamy milk chocolate with a crème finish. I’m not one for nudes or browns on my nails, but there’s something about the warmth of this polish that just… works.

Essie Stone N’ Roses is a peach cream with a high gloss finish. For a girl who can never have enough coral shades in her collection, this is a must for spring and summer.

Essie Suite Retreat is a royal orchid blue, but comes off a lot darker once applied to the nails. It gives a rich, indigo effect with a touch of purple. It’s totally unique and unlike anything I already own.essie
