Most Instagram Worthy Places in Toronto, Ontario
I know that the first few things that come to mind when you hear the word Toronto is Drake, CN Tower and the Jays, but the city has so much more to offer than sports and music. From beautiful skylines, to stunning architecture, to street-art and trendy cafes, the city is filled with drool-worthy Instagram locations. Today, I’m sharing my top favourite instagrammable places in Toronto, Ontario.
Unlike those trendy coffee shops that serve up fancy flat whites and cappuccinos that cost a small fortune, Cops has gone back to the basic, and serves slow-dripped coffee for those with a simpler taste. At only $2.60 a cup you can satisfy your caffeine fix without breaking the bank. If you have a sweet tooth, be sure to grab a half dozen of cinnamon mini donuts for only $3.75 and then stand out front of their pastel pink wall for that perfect Instagram photo. It’s located at 445 Adelaide St W, Toronto, ON.
If you’ve ever wanted that popular photo in front of the LA wings, but haven’t had the chance to make your way to California, the Calii Love mural will satisfy your City of Angels goals without having to book a plane ticket. Not only does this Californian inspired restaurant offer a wide variety of acaï, poké and smoothie bowls, it also offers some of the most stunning murals in the city. From the ionic wings, to playful balloons, to “all you need is love” quote, all your pink dreams will come true here. It’s located at 367 King Street West, Toronto, ON.
Looking for the most instagrammable ice cream ever, head to Sweet Jesus. Between its cheeky name, colourful shop and delicious ice cream options, it’s no wonder this store has a lineup out the door all day long. I highly suggest asking for Krusty the Cone, this ultra sweet soft serve vanilla ice cream is topped with rainbow sprinkles, cotton candy sauce and melt-in-your-mouth cotton candy around the cone. Not only is this sweet treat fun to eat, it just screams photograph me. It’s located at 106 John Street, Toronto, ON.
CutiePie Cupcakes is another spot where you can cure your sweet tooth cravings while getting a cute photo for the gram. From mouth-watering whoopie pies to miniature cupcakes, each one features either a chocolate or vanilla cake base with light and fluffy butter cream frosting. Be sure to snap a photo out front on their patio or inside against their post-it wall. It’s located at 235 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON.
Graffiti Alley has been on my list of places to visit in the city for years, thanks to its kilometre’s worth of colourful street-art. Rush Lane is one of the city’s most celebrated area and you can also find people posing and snapping cheerful photos. The murals and art designs are constantly changing, so you never know what you might stumble upon. Take your photos while you can, because you never know if you’ll see it again. It’s located between Portland Street and Spadina Avenue.
Just around the corner from Graffiti Alley, you’ll find Chubby’s Jamaican Kitchen. You’ll instantly be transported to a tropical destination thanks to its eclectic designs, Caribbean inspired- food and warm and vibrant Jamaican vibes. Be sure to indulge in their famous Calabash Bay, a fresh pineapple served with J Wray white run and coconut shavings. Also be sure to head upstairs for the ultimate photoshoot with your fresh pineapple cocktail. It’s located at 104 Portland St, Toronto, ON.
For all my vegans out there, or for those that are just looking to feel boujee, I highly suggest Sorelle and Co. Bakery. Not only is it completely free of nuts, gluten, soy, sesame and preservatives, it’s completely Instagramable. Chandeliers, cozy seating, flowers, jewels and bling, white marble, pastel colours, everything about this place screams Parisian. The illustration of the five sisters (owners) that hangs on the wall pulls the entire space together and creates an invite and heartwarming atmosphere. It’s located at 161 Yorkville Ave, Toronto, ON.
If you haven’t had nitro ice cream, you’re missing out. Basically it’s ice cream without the ice. Lab Sense uses nitrogen to create their yummy ice cream. Not only does this ice cream parlor serve up some of the richest ice cream I’ve ever had, it also has a ball-pit, a flower wall and an egg chair to have fun in. Swing on the chair with the flower wall in the background while indulging in a sweet treat. To work off some of those calories, take a dip in the ball pit and snap a few photos. It’s located at 526 Yonge St, Toronto, ON.
I’m always rearranging my bar cart, and if you have as much fun styling it as I do, you have to check out Cocktail Emporium. This shop sells extremely trendy and innovated cocktail accessories in the most adorable pink building ever. The exterior of the house just screams Instagram. It’s located at 20 Kensington Avenue, Toronto, ON.
