Lancôme La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer

Lancôme La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer is oil- free and offers an exclusive Elasto-Smooth technology that helps to refine skin’s texture and diffuses light to visibly reduce imperfections creating a satiny-soft finish. It helps makeup glide on effortlessly, creates a smooth, radiant, long lasting canvas and colour stays truer and more vibrant for that right-off-the-runway, air-brushed look that lasts until you take it off.

Lancôme La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer comes in a glass bottle with pump to dispense the product and is completely different in texture than other primers I’ve tried; it’s a lightweight, gel formula that’s very close to being a liquid that glides on easily and smooth. One pump of the bottle dispenses about a pea size amount and that is enough to cover entire face. It has a very hydrating feel to it that absorbs easily into skin and provides basic moisture which allows foundation to easily glide onto skin and provides a solid base for foundation to adhere to. It fills in pores and fine lines and makes foundation look smoother and less patchy on uneven, drier areas of the face. It provides moisture leaving the skin soft and smooth throughout the day but not greasy or shiny.

Lancôme La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer should be applied to cleaned and moisturised skin, then deposit the serum onto your fingertips and blend towards to outer contour of your face before applying your foundation or powder. Your foundation will be easier to apply, it will help even out skintone for a smooth, fresh looking makeup finish that looks natural.

Lancôme La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer makes my skin feel satiny soft without drying it out and my foundation went on smoother than normal. Although I’m not sure if it actually diffuses light or reduces imperfections, my makeup does look more even with an air-brushed effect, my skin looked smoother and more refreshed and it improved the hold of my makeup and kept the shine at bay all day long. A huge bonus for me is that its oil free so I didn’t have to worry about it clogging my pores, I haven’t had a breakout from it so far, unlike other primers I’ve tried. This really does leave my skin looking baby soft and with an airbrushed finish no matter what foundation I use. It retails for $46 and can be found at Sephora.
