Get ready for pops of colour and floral patterns with Mark. Spring 2014 Collection that features pretty shades of cool blues, hot pinks and springy greens for the cheeks, lids and nails. Look to the brighter side of things with Mark. Blooming Pretty Highlighting Face Powder, Mark. Color Swing Mix It Up Eye Compact and Mark. Nail This Look Set.
Mark. Blooming Pretty Highlighting Face Powder will give a soft, sheer glow to the cheeks in this 3 colour compact. The golden shade can be worn on its own as a highlighter, the two pink shades on their own as the perfect blush, or you can swirl all 3 colours together for an all-over glow to the cheeks.
Mark. Blooming Pretty Highlighting Face Powder comes in a small round compact with clear flip lid so you’re able to see the pretty embossed daisy blossom powder within. At first I didn’t want to use it, scared of messing up the pretty design, but happy I did as it has a soft, velvety texture to it. It blends into the skin beautifully, wears for about 8 hours before fading and didn’t emphasize any pores or imperfections like some highlighters. Although not highly pigmented, it delivers a sheer wash of colour to the cheeks for a soft, natural, candlelit glow to the cheeks. It retails for $18.
Mark. Color Swing Mix It Up Compact is proof that things aren’t always one sided with its unique and innovated swing out compartment that hides other shades within the compact. When you first open the compact you’ll find 3 bright, trendy shades in yellow, teal and blue, but swing open the middle compartment to reveal 3 neutral shades on the other side.
Mark. Color Swing Mix It Up Compact is perfect for the girl on the go, as it houses 6 different eyeshadow colours and eyeshadow brush with its ingenious swing out secret compartment. It features a lightweight, silky and velvety texture that glides on smoothly and easily and blends beautifully into the skin. It wears for about 6 hours without fading, creasing or smudging, when used with a primer. Each shade can be worn on its own for a sheer wash of colour, but also compliments each other when worn together. The neutral shades are more pigmented than the brighter shades, but all 6 colours are very buildable for more intense colour payoff. It retails for $26.
Mark. Nail This Look Nail Color and Ring Set contains 2 coordinating, high gloss matte nail polishes and 1 stretchy, turquoise, sparkly ring that fits all sizes. You’ll have the hottest fingers in town with these must- have shades of the season featuring Sunsation, a radiant yellow shade and Seafoam, a springy green shade.
Mark. Nail This Look Nail Color and Ring Set is a good idea in theory, 2 nail polishes that go perfectly together plus a ring, but the polishes fell short of my expectations. I do believe this is the second Nail This Look from Avon, you can find my first review on it here, but these colours are extremely hard to work with and go on very streaky. Although I do love the round brush, that makes it very easy for application, it took me 3 to 4 coats to get true colour payoff. It’s quick drying and gives a wonderful glossy shine while still being matte and lasts for a good 3 days before chipping, but the $24 price tag seems a little high for the quality of the polishes. It also doesn’t help that the ring is huge, even on my largest finger.
