Eye-opening look
Rimmel is one of my favourite drugstore brands for mascaras, not only is it affordable, they usually have unique and innovated formulas and wands. I was excited to hear about the new Rimmel ScandalEyes XX-Treme Volume & Length Mascara, that not only promised to stretch each lash to the maximum for high-impact volume, but provide dramatic length for a 360 degree eye-opening look.
Rimmel ScandalEyes XX-Treme Volume & Length Mascara features a unique double sided, dual action brush that’s designed to help thicken, lengthen and separate each lash for a real “false” lash effect. The arched side features a tiny, two-pronged bristles that lock and load on the product and deliver maximum volume, whereas the flat side features longer teeth to visibly lengthen and define each lash. The perfect combination ensures each and every lash is coated from root to tip, including those pesky tiny ones. It also helps to provide a clump-free look. It’s suggested to start with the flat side to deposit product and lengthen, followed by the arched side to pump up the lashes for more volume.
Rimmel ScandalEyes XX-Treme Volume & Length Mascara has an extremely wet formula, that if you’re not careful, you may end up with product on your upper eyelid. It has a jet back finish that dries fairly quickly. Its innovated brush applies and spreads the product on easily and evenly. It’s buildable, without becoming clumpy, even after two or three coats. It stays put the entire day without fading or creasing.
I love the ingenious brush design on the new Rimmel ScandalEyes XX-Treme Volume & Length Mascara. I can create an array of looks depending on the day or my current mood. I can use the arch side on its own to create extreme volume or the flat side on its own to just create some length. When both sides are used together, it’s definitely not your everyday natural look. It really does create high impact lashes thanks to its highly pigmented formula. It gives the effect of fake lashes, without having to apply falsies. It definitely adds volume and length to the lashes, making them look incredibly thick, full and long with a flared out finish. It retails for $7.99.
