Canadian Owned

Canadian brand, Saint Cosmetics appreciates a woman’s natural beauty, which is why they encourage their customers to be naturally sexy. Their natural and organic cosmetics take the environment into consideration and allow your skin to breathe, which in return, leads to healthy, glowing skin. This season they’ve launched an extensive collection of antioxidant, all natural cosmetics that are made with organic ingredients and completely chemical-free. Looking and feeling beautiful never looked so good, thanks to its large selection of 140+ products for both the lips, eyes and face. Rest assured, all their makeup is free of parabens, sulfates, silicone, PEGs, phthalate, SLS, mineral oil, trilosan and petrolatum. It wouldn’t be a Canadian company, if they didn’t give back. We Canadians sure know how to take care of the world, which is why they donate 2% of their profits to Interval House, Canada’s first haven for abused women with children.

The Saint Cosmetics packaging comes in a refreshing and innovated design that’s a nice change from your typical black packaging. It’s simple and sleek, yet its white chic design is a breath of fresh air. It’s accented with trendy, shiny gold detail that gives each product an extremely luxe and glamourous feel.

Saint Cosmetics Lipstick helps to sculpt, define and hydrate the lips while giving them a plumper, fuller appearance. It’s infused with high performance properties that help to seal in colour for a long lasting wear. It’s extremely hydrating and continuously moisturizes throughout the day.

Although Saint Cosmetics Lipstick has a rich and creamy texture, I found it tugged on my lips when applying. Because it was a little drier than other lippies, it does take some building up to get an even application. It’s extremely pigmented and truly opaque in a few swipes and seems to adhere to the lips fairly well. You can achieve true colour payoff with only a few swipes. Although it claims to be extremely hydrating, I actually found it to be quite drying, but nothing a good lip balm can’t fix. If paired with a moisturizing lip balm, it’s comfortable to wear the entire day without feeling too heavy. It gives a natural, beautiful sheen that seems to last a solid 4 hours before slowly starting to fade. It comes in 18 shades for $22 each.

Saint Cosmetics Blush helps to create a naturally flushed look on the cheeks that’s designed to be worn alone or layered for more depth. It’s infused with sunflower seed oil, Jojoba and rosemary leaf extract to give it an incredibly silky and smooth finish. Its ultra-blendable and long-lasting formula helps create a multi-dimensional look in seconds.

Saint Cosmetics Blush has a finely milled, smooth texture that, although a little less pigmented than other blushes I own, it’s still pretty impressive. Its semi-sheer, yet highly buildable formula provides a natural flush to the cheeks that can easily be built up, if need be. Its fairly rich and creamy texture blends into the skin like a dream with little to no fallout. It adheres to the skin, prolonging the wear time. I had no problem getting a full day’s worth of wear time out of it. It comes in 9 shades for $29 each.

I’ve tried the foundation and a different shade of the lipstick (Shrine On) and I’m very impressed with the quality. The foundation has amazing coverage and gives my skin a wonderful satin look; the lipstick has great pigmentation & stain. I also tried the soft vanilla/sandlewood fragrance, which I really love – even more so since my 2 boys (5 and 10) have both told me I smell really good (I’m sold!!) but I realize not everyone would like it. I agree the shadows are pricey so I’m hoping this company develops a pallete that’s a bit more affordable so that I can try several of the colors at once.
