Clarins Crayon Khôl Eye Pencil

Clarins Graphic Expression Autumn 2013 Make-up Collection is popping up in stores now and is all about the eyes. It features a new Eye Quartet Mineral Palette in shades of khaki, taupe, bronze and gold, Be Long Mascara in 2 shades (find my review on it here) and Clarins Crayon Khôl Eye Pencil in 8 different shades. The collection also features a Face & Blush Powder Palette which has a blend of 3 different shades and 3 new Joli Rouge Lipsticks.

The new Clarins Crayon Khôl Eye Pencil 8 different shades have anything from your basic blacks, to browns, blues, taupes, bronzes and deep purples. It’s a multi-faceted eye pencil that can be applied like a traditional khol inside the lower lash line or around the entire eye contour and delivers precise, straight line and thanks to its integrated brush it makes blending on the eyelid very easy.

Clarins Crayon Khôl Eye Pencil is presented in the same way as other typical eyeliners but has a very elegant gold lid and gold writing on the eyeliner making it feel very rich and high-end. Its dual ended, one end has the coloured eyeliner and the other end contains a natural bristle, soft square brush which can be used to smudge out the eyeliner, to soften any lines or can even be used to apply eyeshadow. The formula is soft and smooth and glides across the eye without dragging or pulling it, yet firm enough that it delivers precise lines. It has great pigmentation with excellent payoff and intense colour in as little as one swipe. Although it’s not waterproof it provides long-lasting wear time, easily applied in the morning and stays puts well into the evening.

I enjoy a multi-purpose product and the Clarins Crayon Khôl 03 Intense Blue, which is a rich, deep, almost navy blue with a slightly shimmer based metallic finish to it, gives me plenty of bang for my buck. I can apply it to my tight line, waterline and upper and lower lash line as well as smoke it out with ease, for an all over wash of colour. It’s convenient when I don’t want to carry a heavy eye palette in my purse, I can just toss this pencil in my bag and it acts as a 2 in 1. Clarins Crayon Khôl Eye Pencil retail for $26 each.

Always looking for a new eye pencil, I’ll have to give one of these a try, prob the black, cause I use it more often although this blue does look pretty amazing
