Extreme plump and lift with 50x volume
I’m not going to lie, I was pretty excited about testing out the new Covergirl Plumpify Blast Pro Mascara, partly because of the press sample I received. It came in an incredibly light box, leaving me to wonder if anything was even inside. My courier driver was also curious about what’s inside, as he said it felt like the box was empty. Upon opening, I was surprised with a bright red helium balloon floating outside of the box with the mascara tied to the end of it. It was the same one found in the Katy Parry commercial.
This mascara is designed to lift lashes up, up and away, so I found the marketing behind this ingenious. It features a dual action, lash lifting brush and an innovated plumping formula to provide extreme volume. Pair that with its new smudge-resistant formula with plumping beads that help to build volume, while separating the lashes and you have the perfect mascara.
Like I said, the new Covergirl Plumpify Blast Pro Mascara comes with a unique brush that features a slightly larger bristle area that helps deposit more product onto the lashes for a quicker application process. The bristles are also tightly spaced together to comb through each lash for a more separated, lifted effect. Finally, on the tip of the brush, the bristles are rounded to help get into those hard to reach areas, like the inside corners, and allow for more length and volume. It instantly gives you that wide-eye look in a single coat or two.
The spiral rounded brush on the Covergirl Plumpify Blast Pro Mascara was a little intimidating at first, and took some time to get used to. Once I got a handle on it, it really did provide incredibly full and long lashes. It separates each lash for a clump-free look and helps to draw them up and outwards for extreme length. It does give an extremely natural, light and fluttery effect, so if you’re looking for full, dramatic, thick lashes, I’d skip this one. It also seems to hold a curl fairly well and doesn’t smear, flake or smudge the entire day, another winner from Covergirl, in my opinion. It retails for $9.99.
