How to Style Rain Boots

How to Style Rain Boots

It’s officially spring, which also means it’s the beginning of rainy season and one step closer to breaking out our summer clothes. Rain boots are a critical piece to have in your wardrobe for the months of April and May, as they not only help to keep your feet warm and dry, it’s a super easy piece to style. One may think wellingtons are fairly casual and best suited for the weekend, but you couldn’t be more wrong, when done correctly, it can quickly become your trademark for spring and the showstopper in your outfit.  All the A-list celebrity’s rock then and you can catch them on pretty much every fashion blog, no matter if it’s raining or not, and now you can too with a few simple “rules”.

Although you may be tempted to purchase a neutral or black pair, I suggest thinking outside the box and going with a more fun pop of colour or a bold print or pattern. A classic Red Hunter will always be in style, and surprisingly will go with everything in your closet. When styling your rain boots with pants, try to stick with skinny jeans or formfitting trousers, as it helps to ensure your pants easily slip inside the boot without looking chunky or bulky. Skirts and dresses are a little easier to style, just remember to keep at least a few inches above the boot to give the illusion of longer, leaner legs.

WOW your red Wellingtons look gorgeous on your legs, the tops of your Wellingtons are about 3 inches below your knees which is perfect, my legs are rather short so I wear Huntress Wellingtons which are shorter, they are shiny black and don’t look out of place with the business suit and black Tights I wear for work on a rainy day.
Thank you so much for posting.
