Lancôme L’Absolu Desir Collection for Fall 2013

Lancôme wants to add a little elegance to your look this season with its new limited edition Lancôme L’Absolu Desir Collection with its luxurious shades to put a little glam in your everyday style. It draws its inspiration from the iconic and almost effortless Paris chic look, but creates a fresh new take on this classic look with a bold red lip, flawless skin and accompanied by the perfect manicure. The ad campaign even features beauty icon Kate Winslet; you don’t get more glamorous or effortless than Kate. The collection is made up of 6 deep red lipsticks, a pearlescent illuminating blush, and 3 faux-black nail lacquers providing only the very best for the modern woman of today.

Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge lipstick comes in a sleek, elegant tube that features the two iconic symbols of the City of Light with the famous Lancôme rose and the Eiffel Tower, all on a black lacquered case with gold embossed design or gold lacquered case with black embossed design. The 6 new shades are bright, bold and rich in colour. They have a soft, velvety, moisturizing texture to them thanks to its moisturizing boosting ingredient, Pro-Xylane. It provides full coverage that’s opaque and stays put for the entire day.

Sometimes darker lipsticks can leave my lips feeling dry, but these have a creamy texture to them that is very comfortable to wear and is easy to apply. My lips stay moist, supple and hydrated up to 8 hours. Now you too can create a timeless, Parisian red lip with 6 different shades to pick from; 06 Rose Nu is a beautiful pink-tinged nude, 47 Rouge Rayonnant is a radiant crimson, 132 Caprice is a vermillion red with a dash of orange, 186 Rouge Désir is a rich, velvety garnet red, 322 Rose Désir is a radiant fuchsia and 386 Prune Désir is a deep, mysterious plum. Each shade will be available in September and retail for $31.

Lancôme Blush Rose Desir is housed in a black case embossed in gold with the matching L’Absolu Rouge design on it. It also comes with an exclusive, ultra-precise, double ended brush for perfect application each and every time. The wide brush is used to sweep blusher over the cheeks, while the smaller brush delivers just the right amount of powder for application around the lips, to illuminate the lipsticks and prevent feathering all day long. The powder’s new design is reminiscent of a postcard from Paris, complete with the Eiffel Tower, roses and lipstick kisses. It features two light-infused, orange and pink toned shades that are perfect for all complexions and has been specially crafted to enhance the lipstick and bring out its radiance. The orange shade is used to sculpt the cheeks, while the pink shade can be smoothed on to warm the top of the cheekbones, of course you can mix the shades together to create your own custom blush.

I love how versatile this blush is, even though it has a sparkly pink and gold overlay that might not work for everyone, it can easily be removed to reveal a matte finish underneath. Since you can use each shade on their own or mix together, it’s like you have 3 products in one. The texture is soft, creamy and lightweight. It’s highly pigmented and easy to blend out. This beauty comes out in September and will retail for $48.

Lancôme Vernis In Love comes in a mini glass bottle with black lacquered lid. It creates a striking contrast in the form of a completely unexpected, faux-black trio, to set off the intensity of the L’Absolu Désir lipsticks. Its unique formula allows for ultra glossy effects, provides ease of application with a streak-free finish. All 3 shades are rich, deep, yet elegant and the pure black takes on a new dimension.

The quality of the polish is nothing but wonderful, it has a dreamy consistency, applies almost effortlessly and dries within minutes. It’s chip resistant for a full 5 days and delivers the deepest, darkest colour payoff of any nail polish I’ve tried. The 3 new shades are 185 Purple Fiction an intense plum, 385 Black Sepia is a beautiful dark brown and 485 Grey Lumière is slate grey and they retail for $16 each.
