May 8th, 2014- Old Strathcona

This evening we took a stroll around Old Strathcona and Whyte Avenue. It features over 600 different businesses from chic little boutiques, to entertainment and live music at local pubs and cafes, to spas and salons to an assortment of restaurants. It has a small town feel in the heart of a large city. Like everyone else we’ve met on this trip, the people there we’re beyond helpful and a joy to chat with. Of course we couldn’t see everything, but we did check out a few local shops, had dinner at a local pub and enjoyed outdoor art, while walking around McIntyre Park. I’m kinda thinking I want to go back, there’s just so much to see and do. Wonder if the hubby is hittting his shopping limits?
