September 3rd, 2013- Mixing Leather and Suede

Fireplace on again today, which means I have to break out my Danier leather pants, right? I got these beauties way back in January of 2011 when they went on sale after the holidays, I was eyeing them around Christmas, I was even going to ask Derek for them but thought, “no, I should wait, I bet they’ll go on sale”, sure enough they did. I ended up getting them for only $99, marked down from $199, yahoo! Even though they are one of my most favourite pairs of pants I own, I’ve only had them on 10 times and only once last year, not sure why? Today I’m mixing leather and suede and I love it, it just screams Fall to me!

Leather is always huge in fashion, especially in accessories and footwear, but this year it’s out in full force, anything from pants to skirts to tops and dresses. How cute is this new Smart Set sweater, so comfy, and I love the little faux leather detail on the sleeve. I’m also in love with these new suede Kate & Mel booties from Town Shoes, I’ll be putting them to good use this season!

Suede and leather are definitely two things that go really well together! Especially during fall! (:

That’s the only good thing about Fall, mixing heavier fabrics, besides that…. its just that much closer to Winter hehe
