Tatcha Skincare Line Review:

Tatcha Skincare Line Review:

If you’ve been a follower of mine for some time now, you know I’m always on the lookout for new products, new skincare lines (as I have yet to find one I love) that doesn’t break me out like crazy so I was more than thrilled when Alexandra from Tatcha sent me their full line of skincare products to test out; loved their products.

The Japanese have a name for the geisha’s flawless skin….. mochi handa, referring to the quality of a baby’s skin, and you know we all want that. Honed over 300 years, this ritual that is Tatcha is a faithful recreation of the simple steps that form the foundation of this classical Eastern skincare for pure, polished, radiant and supple skin.Tatcha (1)

Look at cute their packaging is!

Tatcha is a 4 step program, which is great for me cause I don’t like being in the bathroom for too long in the am and pm, some of those 8-9 piece programs although are amazing, are just too long for me and they end up sitting under my sink never to be used again… I really should get rid of a lot of my unwanted products… lol something to think about?

First up is their Pure one step camellia cleansing oil which helps to melt away makeup leaving your skin fresh and clean. You just need a small amount of this, since it’s oil, and all you have to do is massage onto your dry face with dry hands for about 10 seconds and then just wash away. I was a little worried that this wasn’t going to take off all my makeup as promised as it’s not a foaming cleanser that I’m use to, but to my surprise it did an amazing job. It’s an oil to start but after you massage it into your face it turns into almost like a milky formula that really helps to lift and remove the dirt.Tatcha (6)

Next step, and the step I’m in love with the most is their Polished deep rice enzyme powder which is so freakin’ cool. It’s a powder to start, you just need a small amount in the palm of your wet hands and you rub your 2 hands together to create a cream. You then massage the cream onto your wet face for about a minute and then rinse. They do have 3 different versions of this, one for sensitive skin called gentle, one for a deeper clean called deep and then their classic one for every day use. I was lucky enough to test out all 3 and I have to say the deep one was my favourite although all 3 were amazing, this one just felt so creamy and silky on my face. This rice enzyme powder is amazing at exfoliating any dead skin you may have on your face and it leaves your skin baby soft. I really can’t explain how wonderful this feels in the morning, it really just wake you up and gives your face a brighter glow. Tatcha (4)

Third step is to use their Radiant deep brightening serum which will help brighten your skins appearance and target any “age” spots you may have. It doesn’t feel heavy on my skin like other serums I’ve tried in the pass, it doesn’t feel greasy at all and I can apply my makeup right after without it feeling oily which is a plus for me. I don’t know about the age spots fading on my skin, I really think you need to do a chemical peel or TCA peel to really notice a difference, but I do think it makes my skin a little brighter and fresher looking?Tatcha (5)

Your last step would be to use their Supple moisture rich silk cream and just apply it as you normal would any moisturizer. The texture of this cream is amazing and it smells really yummy, like being at a spa. This is my fave step in any routine, I always end up applying way too much but I just love the feeling of soft, creamy lotion on my face.Tatcha (7)

The amazing thing about Tatcha and pretty darn smart if you ask me is they offer a Tatcha Sample Size Collection which lets you test out all 4 skincare products before you buy the full size bottles.

You can get the Pure cleansing oil (30ml), Polished enzyme powder 3 packs of each version so 9 packs in total, Radiant brightening serum (10ml), Supple silk cream (15ml) & Beauty Papers (30 sheets) all for just $49. This is the kit that was sent to me and I’ve been using it for over a month now and still have lots of the product left.

For anyone looking to start a new skincare program I would totally recommend Tatcha!
