How to Wear a Floral Dress All Year Long

Ted Baker Floral Dress

Although we may be in the dead of winter, that doesn’t mean you have to put away your florals. A good floral print will never go out of style, and it isn’t limited to only the warmer months. Each and every single season, designers present a new way to wear them. But, with every new season, the day-old question of how to make something old look new again arises. In the winter, it’s all about layering. Whether it’s a tough army jacket to play down the sweetness of the floral print, or a flouncy blouse underneath to give it a real “girly” effect, the possibilities are endless.

A simple floral dress, like this stunning Ted Baker one, is a necessity in every girl’s wardrobe. It can easily be styled and mixed and matched with all your favourite textures, fabrics and materials this season to make a bold statement. Its fun pops of bouquet colours can liven up any look and a sure way to brighten your mood and day. As much as I love pairing my floral dresses with tougher leather pieces to play down the wholesomeness of the print and give that “girl-next door” look a much-needed dose of edge, today I thought I’d keep it fresh and sweet with this fuzzy jacket from Zara.

I know this is an ultra-feminine look, but it honestly makes me so happy. I would love to know how you wear your floral dresses all year round, or floral print pieces in general.
