Innovated Eye Shadow Palette
The new Sephora Collection Color My Life Eye And Lip Makeup Tablet might be my favourite new palette this season with its bold pops of neon and basic neutrals that can easily take you from day to night. It comes in a unique fluorescent pink, iPad or a Kindle tablet style packaging that’s ideal to carry around and perfect for vacations this summer. It’s filled with 36 different shades of eye shadows and lip glosses in both matte, shimmery and glittery finishes. The shadow selections range from pale and light to extremely bright and bold and darker colours for the crease. The lip gloss selection range from pale nudes to bright pinks.
Sephora Collection Color My Life Eye & Lip Makeup Tablet is perfect for those that are just starting out with makeup, those that are scared to take risks or are unsure where you place each shade. It comes with a step-by-step guide on where to place each shade and also gives ideas on which colour combo to wear to which events. In the first row (column A) are your lightest shades and are meant to be applied to your lid as your base. Rows 2 and 3 (column B And C) are a little richer and deeper and are perfect for an all over lid shade. Row 4 and 5 (column D And E) are brighter and bolder and meant to be placed in the crease. Row 6 (column F) are your darkest shades and work great in the outer-v and can also double as your liner. Finally, row 7 (column G) are your lip glosses, so be careful not to place those on your eyelids hehe.
Sephora Collection Color My Life Eye & Lip Makeup Tablet top row consists of corals and greys that are perfect for Sunday Brunch, rows 2 and 3 consist of pinks and taupe’s perfect for everyday wear and for the office, rows 4 and 5 are bright, bold and vibrant shades of purples, teals and blues perfect for happy hour and girls night out, and finally row 6 contains greys and charcoals to create that perfect smokey eye for date night.
Sephora Collection Color My Life Eye & Lip Makeup Tablet has a large selection of velvety, incredibly creamy and smooth texture in an array of colours and versatile finishes. They apply beautifully to the lid and although some shades aren’t as pigmented as some, each shade is buildable for a more intense colour without becoming too chalky. I would say more than half the shades provide true opaque colour payoff in one easy swipe and all blend beautifully together to create several different looks. They offer little to no fall out, even the shimmer shades, because it doesn’t have big chunks of sparkles throughout it and each shade stays put throughout the day without fading or creasing, when used with a primer. The 6 lip glosses complement the eye shadows wonderfully and deliver a high-shine finish that feels comfortable on the lips even though it’s a tad sticky. Not truly opaque, it does give a sheer wash of colour to the lips that wears for about 3 hours before fading. It feels somewhat hydrating and moisturizing without the need for a lip balm. This palette is truly unique and a must-have for summer. It retails for only $43 but has a retail value of over $200.
