I’ve talked about it before, I’ve never been one to make New Year’s resolutions, I don’t see the point, if you want to self-improve yourself, why not start now, why wait till January 1st to do so? Another reason is because they simple don’t work, I’ve heard so many people say “I’m quitting smoking in the New Year” and by mid-January they’re back to smoking, “I’m quitting drinking” and at the first party they’re back drinking, “I’m going to start working out”, that lasts until February, and the list goes on.
That being said, the hubby and I made a point of spending Friday evenings together (as much as we can), sort of like a “date-night”, just some one on one time, as we don’t really see each other during the week. We’re off to a great start, 3 for 3, this Friday night we were going to do dinner and a movie, until I got the bright idea of re-decorating our bedroom. Needless to say, we spent 5 hours shopping, got 2 nightstands, floating shelves, fabric to make 6 new pillows, fabric to re-upholster our headboard and a ton of nick-knacks to put on the nightstand and floating shelves. I think this is going to be a fun project we can do together for the next few weeks, can’t wait to see how it all comes together, the only thing we’ll be keeping is our headboard and mattress.
