Hit the Beach
I don’t get to the beach that often, as I try to stay out of the sun as much as possible, but when I do, I’m that girl that wears her makeup to the beach. If you dream about days at the beach with the sun on your face, the hot sand between your toes and the cool ocean breeze blowing through your hair, you’re going to love the new Lise Watier Rivages Summer 2015 Collection. This 12 piece collection captures the essence that is summer, with sultry shades of summertime that allows you to effortlessly create the most beautiful sun-kissed glow. This is a safe way to evoke the golden glow of a glorious walk on the beach, without the harmful UV rays.
Lise Watier Palette Rivages Eyeshadow Palette is limited edition and comes in the most beautiful sleek, pearly iridescent, seashell compact with full size mirror on the inside lid. Lise Watier always has the most beautiful packaging, but this one might be my favourite yet? It features 10 of the most incredibly soft, creamy and smooth cream-to-powder formulas I’ve ever tried. It has an array of matte, semi-matte and satin finishes in 10 extremely wearable neutral shades. I know what you’re thinking, another nude palette, but this one is actually unlike any other palette I own.
Each shade in the Lise Watier Palette Rivages Eyeshadow Palette is fairly unique, applies evenly and smoothly to the lid and with utterly no fallout. It’s rather pigmented for such neutral hues, the darker shades are extremely opaque, whereas the lighter shades do require a little building to achieve true colour intensity. All shades work wonderfully together, blend into one another for a seamless finish and are buildable, without becoming powdery or chalky. This palette really does create an array of airy, summertime looks. It can easily take you from the beach, to drinks on the patio, to an evening of dancing on the beach under the moonlight. Apply the lighter shades in the day for a soft, subtle daytime look and then bring in a few of the darker shades, to help add dramatic depth and smoke out the entire look for nighttime. It retails for $54.
Lise Watier Smokey Kohl Velours comes in a brand new shade, Nude Velours, to help awaken and brighten the eyes. It has an incredibly rich and creamy formula with a tiny tip that offers precise application. It also comes with a sponge tip on the opposite end for easy blending and smudging. It’s extremely soft and glides across the lid with ease, never pulling or tugging on the lash line. Even though it’s so unbelievably smooth and pliable, it still provides intense pigmentation in a single swipe with a matte finish. You don’t have to go over the same line again and again. Although it doesn’t claim to be waterproof, it provides long-lasting hold. It didn’t seem to smudge, transfer or flake throughout the day and stays on the waterline for a solid 4+ hours.
Lise Watier Smokey Kohl Velours in Nude Velours is definitely a multifunctional and multi-purpose tool for summer. It can be used to define both the inner rim, lower lash line, upper lash line and in the inner corner of the eye. It can also be applied to the waterline to make the eyes appear larger and less red. It retails for $21.
Lise Watier 24 hrs Glam Eyeshadow is a jumbo eyeshadow stick that creates a dramatic, highly pigmented look in a single stroke. It’s ultra-soft, creamy texture glides across the lid with ease and sets within a few seconds. Its waterproof formula ensures the colour stays put the entire day without transferring or creasing. It has the control of a pencil with the pigmentation of a shadow. It’s extremely easy to use and gives you precise application each and every time.
Lise Watier 24 hrs Glam Eyeshadow is a multifunctional product that can be used both as an eyeshadow, an eyeliner and an eyeshadow base. Simply glide over the entire lid for a smooth, seamless colour, and blend out with only the use of your finger. You can also use the defined tip as a liner or apply underneath your favourite shadow as a primer to help prolong the wear time and really make your shadow colours pop. It does dry fairly quickly, so if you need to blend, you’ll have to move quickly. You may need to apply a primer beforehand if you have oily eyelids and to ensure it doesn’t crease throughout the day. It comes in 2 new shades, Sexy Glam and Chic Glam, and a limited edition shade, City Glam for $23 each.
Lise Watier Rivages Bronzing Powder is also limited edition and comes in a round, roes gold compact with full size mirror on the inside lid. It features a mixture of bronze, pink and gold hues that are marbleized together to create the perfect sun-kissed glow. It has a baked formula that is still incredibly soft and easy to work with. It can easily be built up for a more intense colour payoff, with little to no fall out. It doesn’t look cakey or chalky and lasts for about 6 hours before slowly starting to fade. All three shades work and blend beautifully together, picking up just the right amount of each shade to achieve a luminous and healthy glow.
Although Lise Watier Rivages Bronzing Powder does have a hint of shimmer, it’s still extremely wearable, even in the daytime, as it doesn’t look over the top or glittery. It also doesn’t settle into fine lines or wrinkles, nor does it emphasize enlarged pores. It would look incredible as a highlight shade on the temples to help illuminate the complexion for darker skin tones, but works equally as beautiful as a blush and bronzer shade for those with paler complexions. It really does capture and diffuse the way the light naturally reflects on your skin, to give the appearance of brighter looking skin, on any complexion. It gives a natural sheen to the skin that looks incredibly natural. It retails for $39.
Lise Watier Blush Fondant Supreme is a cream to powder blush that’s infused with Labrador tea to give it a unique antioxidant formula that gives the skin gentle overall protection. It has an extremely lightweight, creamy, almost whipped texture that sets to a powder once in contact with the skin. It helps to create a second skin finish on the cheeks, yet is easily blendable into the skin with just your fingertips. You can also apply your favourite powder blush overtop to help prolong the life. It’s highly pigmented with only the smallest amount, and is truly opaque. You can easily build it up for a more intense finish, or sheer it out for a softer, more natural look by blending with your fingers. It stays put the entire day without fading.
Lise Watier Blush Fondant Supreme are some of my favourite blushes thanks to its incredible smooth and creamy texture that doesn’t dry out my skin. For someone that suffers from dehydrated skin on a daily basis, a cream blush is the way to go. With other cream blushes, it can be difficult to work with and usually ends up looking patchy, but these cream-to-power formulas allow me to effortlessly apply the colour to the cheeks in pretty much a full-proof manner. When first applied it may feel like a traditional cream blush, but within seconds it turns into a powder finish. It helps provide a natural, healthy, luminous, radiant glow. It comes in two limited edition shades, Shell and Sand and retail for $30.
