November 24th, 2013- Festivus For The Rest Of Us

More snow… thank you! So much for the weekend, all it did here in London was snow… some parts of the city got upwards of 70cm and its funny cause all the pictures and tweets I saw/read were about how much snow we were getting, it’s like people forget we live in Canada. Wasn’t much to do in the city, roads were blocked or too much snow to get down so the hubby and I spend a lovely Sunday afternoon indoors, staying warm by the fire and ordering our yearly tradition, Swiss Chalet dinner.

We’ve been ordering this Festive dinner for the past 11 years, okay probably more than just once a season, in honor of a favourite Seinfeld episode “Festivus For The Rest Of Us”. Although there was no Swiss Chalet dinner in the episode, the dinner is called The Festive Special, so every time we hear it, we think of the show. The dinner includes a quarter chicken, stuffing, cranberry sauce, your choice of side (which we always get fries) and 5 Lindor chocolate truffles that we always fight over. We both hate the dark chocolate ones, so we fight it out who’s going to get 2 of them, you can imagine who wins!

I just got back from Mexico and it was funny listening to everyone complain on the plane about HOW COLD IT WAS. hahaha, we live in Canada, and it is late November so snow is always a possibility. But I will say London area (& I am guessing the rest of the snow belt) got hammered.

Great cozy outfit though – perfect for riding out the storm.
