I Believe in Manicures
Who doesn’t dream about having Holly Golightly wardrobe? Audrey Hepburn was absolutely stunning through the entire Breakfast at Tiffany’s movie. This was one of the first movies that got me into fashion, romance and love. The OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection is released just in time for the holiday season. Each shade captures the essence that is Holly. The entire collection reflects both her classic beauty, elegance and sense of style. It’s paired beautifully with her sense of playfulness and quirky side. Audrey didn’t just embody classic beauty, she embraced and understood it. I truly believe there’s a little bit of Holly in all of us. If not, the OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s collection will help add a touch of chicness to any look.
The OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection features a total of 12 limited-edition shades. It comes in both their regular lacquer and GelColor formula. It also comes with 6 shades of Infinite Shine formula. Each shade takes inspiration from the movie and plays tribute to Holly’s pink party flock, little black dress and pearl necklaces. It features timeless reds and burgundies, sophisticated and chic glitters and fashion-forward sexy pinks. Of course the collection wouldn’t be complete without the iconic and signature pale Tiffany blue shade. I Believe in Manicures is a precious light blue and found in all 3 formulas.
Of course the OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection comes with OPI’s famous rich and creamy, true-to-bottle colour that you have come to love and respect from the brand. Its unique brush is easy to use and deposits just the right amount of polish for a seamless and effortless application. It covers the entire nail in a few simple strokes and all 12 shades are truly opaque in as little as 2 to 3 coats. Each shade retails for $13.50.
Let’s start with OPI I Believe in Manicures because if there’s one shade you need from this beautiful collection, it’s this precious light blue shade. Although not your typical holiday hue, there’s something about this colour that I can’t get enough of.
OPI Five-and-Ten is a shimmery champagne with a foil-like finish. It’s the perfect hue when indulging in a little retail therapy this season.
OPI Fire Escape Rendezvous is a light red polish with large chunks of glitter throughout. Sadly to say, as stunning as it looks in the bottle, it’s quite difficult to apply. The finish ends up looking patchy and bumpy.
OPI Rich & Brazilian is a rich burgundy with a slight dark purple tint and a pink, purple shimmer.
OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s is another classic and must-have shade. It’s a stunning pearly cream shade with a matte finish that’s perfect for window-shopping on a cold winter day. Although it does have a matte finish, depending on the way the light hits your hand, you’ll be able to see tiny iridescent flecks. This helps to give it an anything but ordinary finish.
OPI Black Dress Not Optional is a shimmery, black and will go beautifully with any elegant LBD you wear this holiday season. Although it does start off more like a shimmery charcoal grey, the more coats you apply (at least 2-3) the more opaque it will become.
OPI Meet My ”Decorator” is a light, yet vibrant poppy red with a tint of orange crème. It’s actually quite unique and unexpected.
OPI Apartment for Two is a hot pink with a crème finish. For those looking to broaden their horizon outside of the traditional Christmas red, this is an excellent and fun option. I love a good cozy and romantic raspberry shade during the winter.
OPI Got the Mean Reds is a true holiday red with a crème finish. It’s fully opaque and is a classic Christmas red.
OPI Can’t Read Without My Lipstick is a dark, vampy maroon a crème finish.
OPI Sunrise… Bedtime! is an excellent pink glittery topcoat. It features a ton of multicolored glitter pieces that’s not only fun on its own, but looks amazing over other polishes. Perfect for night owls and party girls.
OPI Champagne for Breakfast is somewhat like OPI Sunrise… Bedtime! in the fact it has glitter throughout, only this time it’s done in silver instead of pink. It too features an array of multicolored glitter pieces that feel a little more festival and traditional. Perfect glittery topcoat to add a ton of shimmer and sparkle to your look.
For the OPI Infinite Shine Gel Effects Lacquer System, you’ll need to apply the OPI Infinite Shine Primer first. This helps to prevent staining the nailbed and help to increase the lacquer durability. Next, you’ll apply one of the 6 gorgeous OPI Infinite Shine polishes found within this collection. Of course, it comes with OPI’s exclusive ProWide brush, like all traditional OPI polishes. This brush helps for ultimate application in a few easy strokes. Although each shade is richly-pigmented, you’ll probably need two coats for an even, opaque coverage. Finally, top off with OPI Infinite Shine Gloss (Step 3). This will help to cure the nailbed with natural light, thanks to its unique and innovated gel polymer formula. OPI Infinite Shine Lacquers are available at Professional Salons and spas across Canada and retail for $16.95 each.
OPI I Believe in Manicures Infinite Shine is almost the same precious pale blue shade than the original line. After 2 coats it does however tend to look slightly lighter.
OPI Girls Love Pearls Infinite Shine is a pearly white that adds a touch of lustrous silver to any look.
OPI Can’t Tame a Wild Thing Infinite Shine is a stunning poppy red. This daring sexy red is too fierce to let anyone put you down.
OPI Ring The Buzzer Again Infinite Shine is a classic holiday red and slightly deeper than Can’t Tame a Wild Thing.
OPI Party at Holly’s Infinite Shine is stunning rich, deep, dark and vampy red. Depending on the light, it can shift between a lovely brick red and more berry tones.
OPI I’ll Have a Manhattan Infinite Shine is a sleek dark purple that mostly shows up black once applied to the nails. It’s the perfect shade to mix with classic cocktails during a night out on the town.
