Nail Polish 2015
Just in time for warmer weather, OPI has released an electrifying palette full of vivid, on- trend bright colours in their new OPI Brights 2015 Summer Collection. The collection features 6 brand new shades, along with 3 beloved favourites, in shockingly saturated hop pinks, bold electric blues and intensely vibrant lemon-lime. Of course, the collection comes with OPIS’s rich and creamy, true-to-bottle colour in a few easy coats and easy to apply formula. This season you’ll be able to make an intense colour statement without saying a word.
OPI My Car Has Navy-gation is a rich and creamy dark navy blue with a jelly-like finish. It’s not exactly bright, but works well with the rest of the collection, to help ground the rest of the shades. It’s a little difficult to work with, and can be a tad streaky. It’s best to start with thin coats and layer as needed.
OPI Can’t Hear Myself Pink! is a soft coral pink with a slight shimmer that, depending on the way it catches the nail, can look completely different. It’s extremely eye catching and the perfect summer pink.
OPI On Pinks & Needles is a fun clear top coat with unique neon pink hex glitter, arranging in different sizes throughout. I’m a huge fan of glitter top coats, although a pain to remove, but this is truly innovated and unique. It looks beautiful, yet subtle over Can’t Hear Myself Pink!
OPI I Sea You Wear OPI (I love the name) is a stunning and unique shimmery ocean blue. It has almost a purple tint to it that reminds me of the glistening ocean at sunset. This is the perfect shimmery blue for all you beach bums out there.
OPI I Stop for Red is a bright red with almost a crème, jelly-like finish. For someone who loves red polish as much as I do, this is the perfect summertime red. It has almost an orange undertone which keeps it from looking too dark or Christmasy.
OPI The Berry Thought of You is a beautiful creamy purple/pink hue with a shiny finish. I initially thought it looked like a berry crème, but when it dries, it turns into a beautiful dusty purple shade.
OPI Hotter Than Pink was released last year, but this season has come with a slightly new formulation and slight change in colour. It’s an extremely bright light pink with fine iridescent shimmer throughout. It’s fairly opaque in a few coats with a shiny finish.
OPI Down to the Core-al was also released last year, but again comes with a new formulation and slight colour change. It’s a gorgeous orangey coral with a slight gold iridescent shimmer that although it can be quite sheer at first, nothing a few coats can’t fix.
OPI Life Gave Me Lemons is the final newly formulated and new shade and is a summery, citrus lemon lime that again is quite sheer. You’re going to need at least three thin coats to get true colour payoff, but once it’s applied, it looks beautiful. This is definitely a must have for summer.
